Glucolin vet is administered in the treatment of carbohydrate & fluid depletion (reduction). It is mainly used to replace water & electrolytes deficiency. Water depletion (dehydration) tends to occur when these loss are not matched by a comparable intake, as per example may occur in coma or dysphasia or in the malnutrition, chock or severe cachexia which may not intake water in sufficient amount on there own initiative. It provides a ready metabolized nutrient. Glucose solution are also given in regiments with calcium borogluconate , calcium bicarbonate for the emergency management of Ketosis, hypocalaemia, Milk fever, Pregnancy toxemia. Mainly Glucolin vet indicated for the treatment of Uncomplicated Ketosis, Hypoglycemia, cachexia of cattle, severe diarrhore of animal. It is also used as a supportive therapy of the treatment of bacterial & viral diseases & as well as in the surgical operation. In case of Ketosis, Glucolin vet administration result in an increase blood glucose & promote improvement of clinical sign & Milk production.

Dosage & Administration

The dose of Glucolin vet is variable which is dependent on size and condition of animals. The usual dose for animal is 50 ml per 100 lb (app. 45 kg) of body weight. But the recommended dose of GlucolinTM vet ; Large animal:100-500ml, Sheep/Goat: 50-150ml, and Small animal: 25-50ml (depending on size and body condition of animals).It may be injected intravenously, intramuscularly or subcutaneously. GlucolinTM vet may be repeated in 8 to 10 hours or on successive days.


Before administration temperature, heart rate & pulse rate must be measured. Solution should be warmed to room temperature & administration Slowly. Infusion of fluid should be immediately discontinued if rigor arises for any reasons during the process. Do not use if the solution is cloudy, contains particles or after expiry date. Please discard any unused portion.
